Room bookings


Using our study rooms

  • You will need a Library card to book a study room.
  • You can book a study room for up to 2 hours per day.
  • Bookings can be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
    • You can use an empty study room that is booked. However you will need to leave the room when the individual or group who has booked the room arrives.
  • You must comply with the Code of Conduct when booking and using the study rooms.
  • The rooms are for individual or group study with a maximum of 6 persons per room. 
  • There is no charge for booking a study room. 
  • The study rooms are located in the Governor Marie Bashir Reading Room, with the entrance on Macquarie Street.
  • The availability of these rooms is aligned to the opening hours of each Library building and location.
  • Please consider others by leaving the room promptly when your booking has finished, as well as leaving the room neat and tidy.

Governor Marie Bashir Reading Room

The Governor Marie Bashir Reading Room is located on Lower Ground 1 and 2 of the Macquarie Street building.

Monday to
Thursday

9 am to 8 pm
Friday 9 am to 5 pm
Weekends 10 am to 5 pm

Study Rooms 1-4 on LG2
